WW: This interview is going to appear in the part of the magazine called “Artists to Watch.” I imagine you receive that label a lot. What do you think about it?
MA: This vision of an artist that goes along generating, that promises certain things—I don’t want to say it might not be true, but I’m not thinking about some kind of linear graphic. I don’t think life is like that. One lives through moments. I don’t think my work can be seen in this sense of growing, growing, growing, as if it were some kind of machine of annual production.
